1. Who are we?
LegalMint is an online service offering free legal documents for individuals and entrepreneurs in the Netherlands. The website is accessible at legalmint.io. For questions about this policy, please contact us at info@legalmint.io.
2. What data do we process?
LegalMint processes as little personal data as possible. When you fill in and download a document, that data is saved locally by you — we do not store the content of completed documents on our servers.
The following data may be processed indirectly through third-party services (see also the cookie policy below):
- IP address and browser information (via Google Analytics / GTM)
- Page visits, click behaviour and session duration (via Google Analytics)
- Any contact details you send us via email
3. Why do we use your data?
- Website analytics: to understand which documents are popular and improve the site.
- Advertising: via Google AdSense we may show ads based on your browsing behaviour (only with your consent).
- Email contact: if you email us, we use your address solely to reply.
4. Legal basis for processing
We process personal data on the basis of:
- Consent — for analytical and advertising cookies (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR)
- Legitimate interest — for functionally necessary cookies and error logging
5. Sharing with third parties
We do not share personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policy:

Where data is processed outside the EEA (such as by Google in the US), this is done on the basis of Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission.
6. Retention periods
Analytical data is retained in accordance with Google Analytics settings (default 14 months). Email correspondence is retained for a maximum of 2 years.
7. Your rights (GDPR)
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:
- Right of access to your personal data

- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
- Right to restriction of processing
- Right to data portability
- Right to object to processing
- Right to withdraw consent
You can exercise these rights by emailing info@legalmint.io. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (AP).
8. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. The website uses a secure HTTPS connection.

Refusing or deleting cookies

No cookie walls
We do not use cookie walls. Access to our service is not conditional on accepting non-essential cookies. This is in accordance with the position of the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
